Here are some upcoming technology conferences. Please use the links and review the websites to see if one may be a good fit for you. They are all distinctly different and offer a unique focus. For example, SV CUE and CUE are very geared toward classroom teachers and offer practical sessions. NECC has a wider focus on 21st century learning skills and Building Learning Communities is more for those teachers ready to embark on newer technologies like cutting edge documentary filmmaking and blogging. Take some time over the next several weeks to review. I will check back in with you in January to see where the interests lie. There will obviously be a limit to the number of teachers we will be able to send, so we will try our best to match interest with the best fit.

We will use this space to communicate with each other, post new ideas and share resources. Looking forward to a great year. The best way to teach 21st Century Learners is to become a 21st Century community of learners.

To get started:

1. Sign up for an account so that you will be able to contribute to this blog. (If you are feeling ambitious, go ahead and create a blog of your own!)

2. Check out the sidebar for more valuable resources. There is a link to del.icio.us with bookmarks about 21st Century Learning. Spend some time perusing through the resources. You may want to sign up for some of the RSS feeds available. It’s a great experience to try if you haven’t already done it.

3. Review the Goal Setting Page (upper right corner) and post your goals for the year.
